Accrediting acute specialties with ICM Training programmes
Trainees looking to dual accredit with an acute medical specialty cannot triple accredit with General Internal Medicine however as all acute training programme are dual accrediting with G(I)M and assigned accordingly within the trusts. There will be an expectation that trainees dual accrediting in ICM and acute medical specialties will partake in the G(I)M rotas within each of the trusts even though they will not accredit in the specialty.
